About Angels On Duty

Have you heard us on the radio?

Sharon Vermilye

Sharon Vermilye, R.N., is the President. Sharon graduated from Missouri Baptist Nursing School in 1985. Sharon has been in the business of finding angels to care for the elderly, and has an extensive background in home health and private duty care.

"When my Grandmother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, I brought her home to live with us. It impacted our entire family. At the time, I was the director of a major home health company in St. Louis, and my Grandmother needed care 24 hours a day. I thought I could do it all, but I couldn't.  I needed help, someone I could trust to stay with her so I could continue working. The lady that stayed with my Grandmother was often referred to as an "Angel" who was sent to us. When she was with my Grandmother I could relax and not worry.

None of us ever plan on needing help or bringing a stranger into our home.  I think about this every time I interview a potential employee.  I ask myself...would I want this person in my home with my Grandmother all day? My Grandmother always said, "It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice." My goal is to provide caregivers who will honor my Grandmother's motto."

"My hope is that you will have the same wonderful experience as I did by having caring, loving and conscientious caregivers in your home.   I want our Angels On Duty to not only meet your expectations but exceed them."- Sharon Vermilye, RN    Founder/President
